The Dr. Sloan Library is excited to collaborate with the Logan County Art League to display the artwork of Nancy Simpson-Burrey, starting March 3rd through the 31st.

Nancy’s Sculpted Art Dolls are a delightful form of artistry crafted from polymer clay, fabric, wire, wool, and other materials. Nancy describes her creations as “heartfelt, unique pieces that inspire joy and laughter.” In addition to her dolls, she creates vibrant oil paintings using special paints sourced from Italy. Recently, she has also begun exploring watercolor painting as a new skill.

As a self-taught artist in sculpting and doll-making, Nancy has successfully completed oil painting courses at a local art studio, ranging from beginner to intermediate levels. Currently, she is also enrolled in a beginner pottery class where she is learning to use the wheel.
